"Ivan Kupala" Summer Festival
The Ivan Kupala Festival took place on June 28, 2026, during the period when our team was working as part of the Russian Cultural Garden. The event was organized and conducted by our team as part of the Russian Cultural Garden’s activities. This page is preserved as part of the history of the projects and events that members of our team helped create and organize. Today, Russian Speaking Clevelanders is an independent organization.
This family-friendly event brought guests together through folklore, creativity, and meaningful connections. Attendees enjoyed a full program for all ages:
🌿 A theatrical performance by Pittsburgh guests - the “Sobesednik” Theater
🎻 A performance by violinist Darya Mayorova, a laureate of international competitions and festivals
💃 Dance performances by groups led by choreographers Aigerim Alibek and Alyona Reshetnikova
🎶 A Cossack choir performance led by Misha Pilat
🛍 A makers’ fair featuring unique handmade creations
🧼 Handmade artisan soaps by Marina Atamanova from Columbus, Ohio
Children enjoyed:

🌈 Drawing and fun interactive activities

The festival was a wonderful opportunity for families and friends to gather, meet new people, preserve traditions, and celebrate the beauty of Slavic culture together. 🌸
